AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran has just debuted a cinematic music video in support of his newest single "South of the Border". Directed by Jason Koenig, the video is described as a "frivolous spy film" and stars Sheeran as Teddy Fingers, Camila Cabello as Mariposa, and Cardi B as herself. They are joined by Alexis Ren as Scarlet Jones and Paul Karmiryan as Agent X.
Everyone was trying to get their hands on a ruby necklace in this James Bond-esque short movie. Ren stole the bling bling from a black-tie party at a London mansion after drugging Sheeran and she took the stolen jewelry with her all the way to Mexico, but her plan was thwarted by Cabello.
The necklace eventually landed in Cardi B's hands, but she was not happy for getting kidnapped. She called Ed Sheeran on a discarded walkie talkie, "Hello, is this Edward? You think you [bleep]," she yelled. "When I find out where you are I'm gonna kick your a**. You know I'm crazy. I don't know why you thought it was a good idea to kidnap me." She continued her tirade, "You think you're Charlie's Angels? Ha ha haaa... you're wrong!"
"South of the Border" is taken from Sheeran's fourth studio effort "No. 6 Collaborations Project" released in July.
Cabello posted on Instagram a video of their songwriting session and called the British star "one of the most meaningful artists in my life." She added, "13 year old me would never believe this video. I know we're friends now so sorry for the not playing cool moment, but genuinely, this is a sick full circle, special moment for me, being on a song with an artist that's meant so f**king much to me. I have so many memories with these man's songs. And he's such a lovely person!!! I'm just emotional."
