AceShowbiz - Courteney Cox is not someone who keeps things for a long time, but it doesn't seem like she regrets keeping her old dresses. The "Friends" alum has passed down the dress that she once wore on the red carpet to her teen daughter Coco Arquette and shared on Instagram a photo of the 14-year-old rocking that dress.
The post that she shared on the social media site was a side-by-side photo of her and Coco wearing the same purple frock featuring embroidered flowers, 21 years apart. The only thing that made it different was the fact that Courteney added several accessories to team her dress with, while the teenager simply wore her brown locks down.
"I'm not one to hold onto things but this was a damn good purchase! 21 years later...," she wrote underneath the post.
Lisa Kudrow was struck by the resemblance and commented on the picture, "Oh wow..." Meanwhile, Poppy Delevingne wrote, "Omg HEAVEN." Some of her followers, on the other hand, pointed out that reusing a 21-year-old dress is very in line with Courteney's character on "Friends", Monica Geller. "This is such a monica thing to do," one said. There were also fans who declared that Courteney and Coco are their favorite mother-daughter duo.
"Omg you guys are literally twins!! And you're both so gorgeous!!" someone else gushed. "If this isn't a mother daughter goals idk what that is," one other wrote as another individual said, "Love this! It looks as great on her as it did on you!"
Courteney shares Coco with ex-husband David Arquette, whom she divorced in 2010 after 11 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2013. Courteney and Coco previously opened up about their relationship in an interview, with the former saying, "I want her to tell me everything, and she doesn't want to tell me anything." She added, "We bicker, let's be honest, but we love each other. We laugh a lot, for sure."
Coco continued, "I would also describe it as, well, I am a 13 year-old girl, you are a mom, so I love you, but of course we're gonna get in fights. But we're very close. Very close. I love you a lot."
