AceShowbiz - %cWanna One% has made a comeback following their repackaged album "1-1=0 (Nothing Without You)". The South Korean boyband released their sophomore album "0+1=1 (I Promise You)" along with the music video for "Boomerang" on March 19.
Despite its title, the music video doesn't feature any of the members playing a boomerang. Instead, %cKang Daniel% can be seen facing deathly arrows in an abandoned building. The visuals also shows the eleven-piece group performing the stomping choreography in black-and-gold outfits. The boys then change into a more casual look while dancing towards the end of the music video.
The song itself is different from the group's pre-release track "I.P.U". While the latter is a melodic EDM track, "Boomerang" is a lively hip-hop-infused dance track. "I'm a fool who only looks you oh what/ People around me make fun of me," they sing. "I don't care what everyone says/ All I need is you."
Soon after the track's release, the song topped several music charts in the country. The song shot to No. 1 on Melon, Bugs, Mnet, Naver and Soribada real-time charts. The group found out that the song ruled several charts during their comeback show. It prompted them to bow in front of their fans as a thank you for their continuous support.
The release of their album coincided with a livestream accident that resulted in YMC Entertainment apologizing for going live without the members' awareness. During the livestream, the members could be seen cursing, complaining and making inappropriate remarks. Some fans later claimed that member %cHa Sungwoon% was not cursing.
The company apologized in a statement, "We apologize for the shameful accident during the live broadcast. We are also sorry that some remarks, which were not actually said, are being snowballed. We will make sure not to cause such trouble. Please send your love and support for Wanna One members to reach their dreams until the very end."
